New Castle Northwest is a census-designated place in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. It occupies the northwestern edge of New Castle, within Neshannock Township. The Shenango River traces its southwestern border, flowing south toward the Beaver River and into the Ohio River watershed.
The area is residential and well-wooded, with mature trees shaped by river-valley moisture and cold Pennsylvania winters. Sugar maples, red oaks, and white pines are common across local properties.
Wet soil conditions, ice storms, and seasonal freeze-thaw cycles put real pressure on these trees every year. Root instability, branch decay, and storm breakage are common results. Addressing these problems early protects your home and prevents serious damage.
